Introduction
Hello everyone!
My name is Lincoln Scherzer and I have lived in Fairbanks, Alaska for my entire life. I'm currently heading into my second year here at the University of Alaska Fairbanks where I plan to finish getting my degree. I'm attending UAF in an attempt to receive a degree in Geological Engineering. In my free time I enjoy being outside in nature, with some of my favorite activities being snowboarding, hiking, and watching the northern lights.
I first realized my love for music when my dad and I would dance around our living room listening to songs he would play on his record player. For a while I was really into playing music and could play the piano and trumpet. However, I've since stopped practicing and forgot everything I had learned. I've only ever been to one concert, and it was when the Foo Fighters came up and played in Fairbanks. I really like the idea of going to more concerts and hearing the wonderful music, but being around so many people stresses me out. I listen to a bunch of music but the genre I like most is alternative rock.
Here are some songs I really enjoy:

ReplyDeleteGreat song choices!! Awesome northern lights photo.
ReplyDeleteHey Lincoln, that is a great photo of the northern lights! Did you take those? That is so cool you learned to play the piano and trumpet, I want to learn to play the piano soon.
ReplyDeleteI like the Foo Fighters, I did not know they came up and played in Fairbanks, that is awesome that you got to go and see them play. I have also only been to one concert, and it was this summer. I went and saw Mt. Joy at the Alaska state fair.
ReplyDeleteHi Lincoln! I really enjoyed reading your post. Hiking is also one of my favorite hobbies and we live in the most perfect place for it. There are endless hiking spots in this state!
ReplyDeleteHey Lincoln! Thank you for sharing your passion for music and interest in outdoor activities. I understand your attraction to the songs you chose, as an alternative rock fan myself, I want you to be able to attend more live performances in the future. Perhaps in the next concert situation, you won't feel too overwhelmed by the crowds. Continue appreciating nature and music in your life because they make life meaningful. Have a great experience studying at the University of Alaska Fairbanks!
ReplyDeleteI mean honestly, that's a pretty gnarly first concert!
